Saint Vincent og Grenadinene
Our vision for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and its believers is for them to: Go, Pray, Give, and Grow. To make Jesus known!
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an island country in the eastern Caribbean between the Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean. To the north lies Saint Lucia, to the east is Barbados, and Grenada lies to the south. Most of its territory consists of the island of Saint Vincent, which includes the capital Kingstown. To the south lies the northern part of the Grenadines, a chain of 32 smaller islands.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has an approximate population of 110,800, SVG was a colony of the British Empire from 1783 until 1979, when it peacefully achieved independence, and it is part of the Commonwealth of Nations. The most important industry sectors are agriculture, mainly banana production and the services sector, based mostly on a growing tourist industry. Languages are English (official), Vincentian Creole English and French patois.
St Vincent is a religious country, but many do not have a personal faith in Jesus Christ. The smaller Grenadine Islands suffer a lack of churches due to their more isolated nature. Evangelical Christians are seeking to plant more churches in the Grenadines. Pray for revival and for restoration of a biblically based, Spirit-led Church.
OM’s passion is to mobilise churches and believers to reach the nations for Jesus, partnering with local churches to inspire and equip people for mission work. We provide opportunities for believers to participate in both short and long-term mission outreaches, locally and internationally.
Feeling called to join us? You can volunteer, support our projects, or become a prayer warrior. As the prophet Isaiah wrote, “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted”. Isaiah 12:4. OM Caribbean is excited to see how God will use your gifts to bless this mission field. Let’s share His love and make an impact together!
