Our vision for Jamaica and its believers is for them to: Go, Pray, Give, and Grow. Along with the rest of the Caribbean, we embrace our role in making Jesus known!
Jamaica is the 3rd largest island in the Caribbean. We are called the land of wood and water. Our forefathers understood the importance of our Heavenly Father, so much so that our National Anthem is a prayer to the Lord and our National Pledge speaks “Before God and all mankind….play her part in advancing ….of the whole human race”.
The largest religion in Jamaica in 2020 wa Chriatianity, with 67.2 per cent of the population identifying as Christians. This is composed of several denominations. Other religions in Jamaica include Jehovah Witnesses 1.9 per cent, Rastafari 1.1 per cent, No religion 21.3 per cent, other (Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Buddhist) 6.5 per cent.
This is what OM Jamaica is about, advancing the welfare of the whole human race. Our focus is that of sending Jamaican individuals called to be missionaries near and far to share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. You can partner in this great commission by praying for OM and missionaries around the world, by giving financially to support local missionaries serving overseas and volunteering with the local team.
