St. Lucia

Our vision for Saint Lucia and its believers is for them to: Go, Pray, Give, and Grow. To make Jesus known!

Saint Lucia is an island country in the eastern Caribbean located north/northeast of the island of Saint Vincent, north of Trinidad and Tobago. The population is approximately 180,800. The capital and largest city is Castries. Saint Lucia is very mountainous and a volcanic island. Ethnic groups are Black/African descent 85.3 per cent, mixed 10.9 per cent, East Indian 2.2 per cent, other 1.7 per cent. There are two main languages: English (official) and Saint Lucian Creole.

Due to its well-educated workforce Saint Lucia has attracted foreign business and investment and infrastructure improvements: roads, communications, water supply, sewerage, and port facilities. Tourism and offshore banking are Saint Lucia's main sources of revenue. 18% of land is used for agricultural. Bananas are the main product grown, as well as coconuts, cocoa beans, mangoes, avocados, citrus fruits and vegetables.

Saint Lucia is primarily Christian. 14.5 per cent of the population are evangelical Christians. Increasingly materialism influences much of society and undermines spiritual life. Pray for renewal in the churches.

OM’s passion is to mobilise churches and believers to reach the nations for Jesus, partnering with local churches to inspire and equip people for mission work. We provide opportunities for believers to participate in both short and long-term mission outreaches, locally and internationally.

Feeling called to join us? You can volunteer, support our projects, or become a prayer warrior. As the prophet Isaiah wrote, “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted”. Isaiah 12:4. OM Caribbean is excited to see how God will use your gifts to bless this mission field. Let’s share His love and make an impact together!
